The Digital Champion of Cyprus requests European DCs to support the Project
Stelios Himonas, Digital Champion of Cyprus, informed the DCs about his proposal for the group to support a project funded by the UN Democracy Fund called Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era. The involvement of the Digital Champions would be to declare their support as a group to this global project and its objectives and promote it in their Member States. The DCs are also asked to select participants from their country, for the European charter. If DCs are willing they are also welcome to finance one person by 1,000 Euro. The request has been documented in the agenda and the minutes [1] The Digital Champions (DC) Expert Group held its 9th meeting on 17-18 June. The group were briefed and exchanged views on the Digital Single Market (DSM) Strategy and on DSM governance. The Champions also particpated in the Digital Assembly organised by DG CONNECT on 17-18 June in Riga. During these sessions, Stelios Himonas, has also presented his views about open education, Reinventing Education and internship programs as those promoted by Future Worlds Center. CitationsMore News
