Shadi Rouhshahbaz is a core participant of the Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era - Australasia co-Laboratory.
Shadi Rouhshahbazl is energetic and passionate, looking to make change both in her community and internationally. Her main interests are interpersonal communication, education, development and human rights. She was born in 1994 and lives and studies in Tehran, Iran. She has a Bachelor Degree in English Language and Literature from Allameh Tabataba’i University and is currently studying for her Master’s Degree in English Language and Literature from the same University. Her research area is around Colonization and Decolonization, Feminist literature, Gender Studies, Cultural Studies, Ecocriticism, South African Literature, Fantasy Literature and Peace Studies.
Shadi currently wears many hats as a Global Youth Peace Ambassador and consultant, Language teacher, and Freelance Interpreter for English, French and Persian. She has participated in many local events as an interpreter including the Malaysia and Iran Palm Oil Trade Fair and Summit and the Great Commercial Conference of Iran and Belgium.
Besides her current jobs, Shadi has received many honors, awards and certifications. She was awarded the Conference Management and Facilitation Award from Tehran International Peace Event by UNOY Peacebuilders, World Peace Initiative, Peace Revolution, Iran Peace Studies Association, and the University. She has certifications with Act 2250, a UN Security Council Resolution Implemented Nationally and Locally certified by UNOY Peace builders. She is also certified in Negotiation and Mediation, trained by Clingendael Institute of Human Rights.
