Short Bio
Hasan Habes has started working at Future Worlds Center as an intern in March 2016, taking part as a team member in the UNDEF project Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era.
He is the peer mentor of Aleksandra Ignatoski from the European Initiative and Paul Kasoma from the African Initiative.
Hasan lives in Famagusta. He studied BA in English Language Teaching at Eastern Mediterranean University. He also obtained MA degree in International Relations on ‘the impact of education in conflict resolution in Cyprus’ from the same university. After working as an instructor at Okan University in Istanbul, Turkey, Hasan enrolled in the master's program in Peace, Mediation and Conflict Research at Åbo Akademi University in Vaasa, Finland, and graduated in 2016. His thesis was in nonviolent action campaigns on ‘identifying and eliminating violent flanks during a nonviolent action'.
