She holds a Bachelors  degree in Accountancy from the University of Malawi –The Malawi Polytechnic, she also holds certificates in Financial management and  Good Governance from MASP and the Malawi Human Right Youth Network respectively.

Chifundo developed her fanatical interest in democracy when she first heard the word, this was the time her country Malawi was changing from the 1 party system to multi-party system. Growing up to understanding the term, she believes democracy is the key to development. Without democracy a country cannot develop.
