Lombe Tembo has a BA in Economics with Statistics from the University of Zambia and is an Accountability Advocate. The Accountability Advocates project is part of Restless Development's Big Idea programme, which aims to empower young people with the knowledge, skills and networks needed to analyse official data and generate their own to track progress towards national and international development commitments. Implemented by Restless Development, in partnership African Monitor, Plan UK and YES Ghana - and co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union - the Accountability Advocates project aims to equip young leaders from youth-led organisations across Africa and Europe with the skills needed to monitor the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

In addition, Lombe also sits on the advisory panel for the Queen’s Young Leaders Programme and the Street Culture Youth Foundation. Lombe is one of 23 young Zambians to be a part of the United Nations Youth Partnership Platform – Zambia (UNYPP). The UNYPP establishes a mechanism for open dialogue and exchange between UN agencies, youth groups and youth-serving groups in Zambia. It provides a way for young people to partner with the UN on strategic opportunities and actions to address adolescent and youth issues.
