Dima Abou Abdou is a Shadow Participant of Karim Chalhoub. Dima Abou Abdou was born in Lebanon in 1997 and is 19 old. Dima Abou Abdou completed her second academic year as a political science student. She had the chance to complete a summer internship in the Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections from July to September 2016, and she will be part of another internship program in the Lebanese Parliament from July to September 2017.
Dima Abou Abdou is very interested in the political domain especially middle eastern politics, and civil rights. With Lebanon struggling to find a certain political stability since the end of the civil war in 1990, its citizens have also been struggling to maintain a certain kind of democracy. With constant violations of civil and human rights it has become a difficult, yet not impossible task, that could be completed through youth education and programs aiming at highlighting the importance of democracy.
