Uzma Gul is a core participant of the Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era - Australasia co-Laboratory.


Uzma Gul is from Pakistan and has been trained by USAID, UNDP, and AUSAID funded organizations. She has an MBA from DOW University of Health Sciences and was a Professional Fellow with the U.S. State Department with a focus on Legislations, Policy Making, Education, Democratic Strengthening, Election Reforms, Economic Empowerment, Local Govts and Health.

Uzma’s professional experiences include working as Asia Regional Coordinator for Youth Network, being a Women Ambassador for Pakistan and Project Official trainer for USAID and UNDP projects. On top of these and other experiences, she has been presented many honors and awards. She was recognized as a Young Women Activist for her work and services towards her community by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, she was one of 10 chosen Global Citizen Activists in New York. She represented Pakistan twice for “First Asia Pacific Youth Peace Policy Consultation Dialogue by UN” and “Asia Pacific Evidence Based Youth Policy by Commonwealth and UN”.

	She works to strengthen democracy and civic education promotion, build peace and achieve inclusive and sustainable development. She is also specifically interested in uplifting and developing Pakistani women and youth to enhance their roles so they can make a difference in society.
