Dr Nenad Rava has spent 20 years in international development cooperation - out of which 15 years as consultant, advisor, expert, team leader and trained/coach for governments, UN/UNDP, the World Bank, the EU, and bilateral and philanthropic development organization. He has provided support to 20+ governments/public sector systems in areas primarily including democratic governance, strategic foresight, policy design, complex system change, institutional reform and innovation, and capacity development.

Dr Rava has produced 30+ policy papers and analytical documents and 20+ change methodologies - and designed/implemented 50+ projects for complex contexts and with multidisciplinary / cross-sectoral orientation. He has created and delivered 45+ training programs, and has coordinated a large learning network of 300+ senior government official and civil society organizations (RCPAR), while also establishing several Communities of Practice. He has studied management, development policy, and comparative politics and got his PhD on democratization. He is proficient in English and Russian (native Serbo-Croatian) and is basic user of Spanish and French. Beside conducting global policy and analytical studies, he has worked in former Yugoslavia, CIS (Russia, Eastern Europe, Caucasus, Central Asia), European Union, and the Arab Region.

Dr Rava continues his international consultancy work, while serving as Special Advisor to the Serbian Deputy Prime minister. He has recently joined the Strategic Innovation Lab in Canada focusing on the new applications of strategic foresight, complex systems design (including dialogic and interactive design), and innovation in policy, public administration, and development domains.
