Mentor is a Noun and refers to a person that has the role of supporting Core Participants of the Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era project.

Each Mentor must mentor at least five Core Participants, one per region.

The term has its origins in the Greek mythology. Mentor was the son of Alcimus or Anchialus or Heracles and Asopis. When Odysseus left for the Trojan War he asked Mentor to take care of Telemachus (son of his brother). Mentor came to mean someone who imparts wisdom to shares knowledge with a less experienced colleague.
