Short Bio

John Geary has joined Future Worlds Center in 2016 as a mentor for the UNDEF project "Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era". John has Master’s degrees in International Affairs, Economics and Environmental Management BA in Education and a Masters in Human Rights and has worked as a teacher, consultant for the World Bank on climate change, translator, researcher and election observer with the EU and the OSCE in Asia, Latin America and Africa. He has lived in Europe, China, the USA and several countries in Latin America. Currently, John is working as a university teacher in China.

  • Consultant for Kotler Marketing, doing market analysis for South America

  • Election Observer with EU and OSCE Election Observation Missions
  • English Teacher – various Chinese universities
  • Intern with the WHO and the Inter-American Development Bank
