Jairo Iván Matus Contrera is one of the Core Participants of the American SDDP of the Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era project.

Him Peer Empowerment and Support Mentors is Uffe Vieira.


Jairo Iván Matus Contrera studied Industrial Engineering in Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus and then completed his PgDip in Business Information Technology in Kingston University London. He worked in private sector to manage financial and intellectual resources of some companies. Then he moved to civil society sector with the sense of social responsibility. He worked in various EU and UNDP funded conflict resolution, peace building and reconciliation projects for the economic and social sustainability of Cyprus and MENA region.
