Her current focus is on the clash between Islam and politics concerning the U.S. involvement in the 2003 Invasion of Iraq. She earned her Masters in Religion from Arizona State University where her thesis focused on the Bremer Period of Iraq. She also has a BA in Cultural Anthropology and Linguistics from the University at Buffalo. She has taught English as a Second Language for the past five years to refugee communities in both Buffalo, Tempe and Philadelphia. She also is a program adviser for the Dialogue Institutes' Study of United States Institute program (SUSI) for the past two years. This year she is also assisting in a similar program for adult scholars from eighteen different countries around the world. Through her academic career she has been a member of Starbucks management and currently is a Store Manager and assisting the company in their newest efforts with the refugee communities in Philadelphia.

Andi Laudisio is a Shadow Participant of Karim Chalhoub. Andi Laudisio is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Religion at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Her current focus is on the clash between Islam and politics concerning the U.S. involvement in the 2003 Invasion of Iraq. She earned her Masters in Religion from Arizona State University where her thesis focused on the Bremer Period of Iraq.
