Ms. Hoda Touma is a core participant of the Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era – Middle Eastern Initiative. Born and raised in Lebanon, she is a 22-year- old policy analyst in the making, currently pursuing a Master’s program in Public Policy and International Affairs at the American University of Beirut (AUB). She graduated two years ago with a bachelor’s degree in Translation and Applied Languages. Her strong passion for linguistics alongside her language proficiencies have opened the door for her to truly embody her goals and partake in global affairs.

Hoda Touma works as a translator and an assistant to the Ambassador at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Beirut, and has recently joined the Lebanese NGO AieServe, working mainly on youth empowerment, all the while promoting its three core values of Respect, Acceptance and Love. She is mainly interested in youth inclusion, participation and empowerment within the policy-making process. Her ultimate career aspiration is to pursue a PhD and enter the academic realm at a later stage, which would pave the way for her to make a change on a global scale.
